What if the first idea for the Swiss knife was not Swiss?

Whilst doing some research on Swiss products, I found some articles about what seems to be “the world’s oldest Swiss Army knife”. To my great surprise, when I read on, I was not reading about a knife, but about a multi-functional ustensile: fork, spoon, etc., which was designed the way Swiss Army knives are.

Even more surprising, this ustensile dates back to the Roman Empire, circa 200 A.D. and was found in the Mediterranean sea. Not Swiss at all! It was only around 1’800 years later that the Swiss Army knife was invented… !
